Greetings Mainers, Jesus Lovers and everyone else reading this blog post. The Cushman reporting, otherwise known as.. well, you know. You all might be wondering why a guy like me who clearly loves his technology hasn’t posted sooner. To be honest, I’m still trying to figure that one out, but alas, here I am now.
I don’t want to get too long with this, so I’ll keep it brief by using a few words. Those words are: Time. Is. Short. I mean, wow, this week has blown by quicker than one might expect! The week as a whole has been unbelievable and God has certainly been working big things in so many kids lives this week. We have built some great relationships, had our good times and rough patches, laughed, cried, sang, and acted crazy like Christians are notorious for doing! It’s an experience I will never forget and God has changed me as a result. Keep us in prayer for the trip back, it’s gonna be a long one! Much love to you all! Til next time..
Today we are getting packed and ready to head back after a full week. I am fortunate to have been a part of this team and want to thank everyone for their support and prayers. We serve an awesome God indeed.
I was able to spend time with Jamal during water day on Thursday. After getting completely soaked we sat down and talk for a while and prayed. He still has a lot of questions but knows that Jesus loves him, and cares for him.
I did not see Ty again, but am going to leave my contact information with Brianna to give to him so he can call me if he has any questions.
Besides water day on Thursday we also helped with food distribution for the food pantry. I spoke with a man named Reggie who came to get food. We spoke before the service and then I carried his groceries out to his car for him. I was able to pray with him after putting his groceries in his trunk. I pray that he continues going to the pantry not only for food, but to get fed in the Spirit. Brianna also sang “It is Well” at the beginning of the service, which was emotional to say the least.
Spending the week off and on with Brianna was truly a highlight of this trip. I was able to see her at work in the missions field, and was at the same time proud, humbled and moved. She has grown incredibly in her walk with Christ, and has a gift with the children. It is apparent that Christ is stirring in her, and is planning great things for her life. I pray that she, as well as Christine and I, are patient and open to God’s direction.
Please pray for a safe and trouble-free return trip for us.
God is good!! What week ministering to the people of Raleigh. So blessed! Made me appreciate how well I am blessed! Happy to return home to my family but so hard to leave my family here. Me, Holly and the boys will return over April vacation to serve for a week.

I have met a little kid named Mike and I have really been able to talk to him about Jesus. He can be very energetic and calm. He just reminds me of myself. I am sad that today is our last day on the field, but am happy that I am going to see my mom (love you mom). We are going to have Water Day today.
signing off,
Mikey
